Ultimate Survivor Live! is a multiplayer gamemode for Garry's Mod mixing the brutal gameplay of oldschool FPS with the Battle Royale genre.
You play as a contender in a retro-futuristic TV show inspired by 80s pop culture in which you have to face and destroy the other players to become the ultimate survivor.
The gamemode is full of references to American pop culture from the 80s. It has an over-the-top arsenal and allows players to play as iconic characters from many famous movies and video games.
The gameplay is very dynamic by using movement mechanics that allow players to reach every corners of the maps and with an overpowered arsenal making each kill very fast and satisfying.
At the start of each game, resources spawn randomly throughout the map and each player spawns around the game area. Then, they must hurry to collect weapons, ammunitions and armors. After a few minutes, the size of the game area is reducing to make players kill each other faster.
When there are only two players remaining, they are sent to the dueling arena with increased health and a random weapon to decide who will be the ultimate survivor.
When a player is killed, he is sent to the spectator zone which takes place in a TV set and where he can wait for the next game.
Here they can participate in various activities: an obstacle course to train their movement skills, the hall of fame to see who are the top players, arcades to play mini-games etc.
The gamemode is still in development but has already been played by a group of French influencers made of Squeezie, Bob Lennon, Doigby and Locklear. Beta game servers are, however, open to the public.
