Roleplay is one of the most popular gamemodes of the game Garry's Mod and involves playing a role in a specific world with rules. During my self-taught Level-Design career, I worked on several roleplay maps set in very different worlds and which had to meet very specific needs.
- RIVERDEN (2021) -
Riverden is a huge modern city inspired by the state of Colorado in the United States and more specifically by the city of Denver. This is the biggest map I have made to this day and it is divided into several areas.
There is a very dense city center that serves as the economic heart of the city, a huge commercial avenue, a downtown with apartments for middle class players, the suburbs with big villas for the wealthy players and finally the countryside area with an industrial zone, farms and huge wild spaces. All the different areas are connected with roads, allowing the players to move from one to another using vehicles.
The map then contains all the buildings necessary for a modern city life simulation: police station, town hall, fire station, hospital, shops, cinema, houses, apartments, power plants, penitentiary, car dealership, gas stations etc.

- Hogwarts (2015) -
The Hogwarts map is a recreation of the Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry from the Harry Potter franchise. I took inspiration from the Harry Potter books, movies and even video games to create a place suitable for role-playing. It is cut into three distinct areas:
The first part of the castle is related to the living quarters. There are then the dormitories of the four houses of the franchise, the entrance courtyard and the great hall for events, the whole being connected to the second part of the castle by a bridge. In this other wing of the castle there are all the classrooms, the infirmary and the library. Finally, this building leads to the outer part of the castle in which there are the greenhouses, the forbidden forest, Hagrid's hut (the forest ranger) as well as the Quidditch field (flying brooms sport).
The map features all the iconic places of the franchise to create an immersive experience in the Harry Potter universe and to allow players to recreate iconic scenes of the franchise.
